A Family-Owned HVAC Company Serving Ottawa Since 2014
Oria Heating and Cooling started serving Ottawa homeowners in 2014 and is still family-owned and operated. The people who quote your job are the people accountable for it, and repeat customers deal with the same small team year after year.
We are based at 925 Longfields Drive in Nepean, on the Barrhaven side of the south end. From there we install, repair and maintain furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, heat pumps, water heaters, humidifiers, HRVs and gas lines across Ottawa and Gatineau.
Most of our work is residential, from townhomes and split-levels to rural houses on propane or well water. We also handle light commercial HVAC, and one long-time client wrote that they have used Oria “for more than five years for residence and for our businesses.”

Licensed, Approved and Accountable
Heating and cooling work involves natural gas, refrigerant and high-voltage wiring, so credentials matter. Here is what ours mean in plain terms:
Gas and AC licences
Every Oria technician holds both, so the same person can safely work on your furnace, gas lines and air conditioner.
TSSA approved
The Technical Standards and Safety Authority regulates fuel-burning appliances and gas work in Ontario.
HRAI approved
HRAI, the Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada, is the national association for HVAC contractors.
Quebec licences
We hold the licences required to work in Gatineau, Quebec.
Lennox authorized dealer
We sell and install Lennox equipment, also install Goodman and other major brands, and repair all makes and models.
Google Guaranteed
Our business carries Google's Guaranteed badge, alongside a 5.0-star rating from 578 Google reviews.

Built Around Ottawa Winters and Summers
More than a decade of Ottawa weather shape how we work. Furnaces here run from October to April and have to keep up when the temperature drops to −25 °C or lower, so we size equipment for the coldest nights, not the average ones.
Summers bring the opposite problem: 30 °C days with humidex readings of 35 to 40, when a tired or undersized air conditioner can’t keep upstairs bedrooms comfortable. More homeowners are also asking about cold-climate heat pumps, and we help them decide whether a hybrid system with a gas furnace backup makes sense for their home.

What We Value
These are the standards customers hold us to in their reviews, and the ones we hold ourselves to on every job.
Diagnose before replacing parts
We find the actual cause first. One reviewer thanked us for diagnosing the problem “instead of throwing parts at it.”
Price first, no surprises
You see the price before work begins. Reviewers often note the final invoice matched the quote, with no hidden costs.
Clean, careful installs
Old equipment is hauled away, refrigerant lines and wiring are run neatly, and the work area is left clean.
Explain how things work
We show you how to change filters, set your thermostat and care for new equipment between visits.
Be there when it breaks
Emergency calls for furnaces, AC, water heaters, humidifiers and HRVs are answered 24/7, nights and weekends included.
What to Expect When We Visit Your Home
- 1
We listen first
On the phone we ask about symptoms, error lights, the equipment's age and any recent work, so the technician arrives prepared.
- 2
We check the basics
Thermostat, filter, power and venting come first. In an Ottawa winter, snow and ice blocking the furnace's outdoor pipes is a common cause of no heat.
- 3
We explain the problem
You hear what failed, why it failed and your options, from repair to replacement, with prices before work starts.
- 4
We do the work and clean up
Licensed technicians complete the gas, refrigeration and electrical work, test the system and remove old equipment.
- 5
We walk you through it
For new equipment, we show you how it runs, register it with the manufacturer and follow up to make sure it works.

Where We Work
We serve all of Ottawa, from Kanata and Stittsville in the west to Orléans and Rockland in the east, and south through Barrhaven, Riverside South, Manotick, Greely and Kemptville. Across the river, we work in Gatineau, including Aylmer and Hull. See the full list on our service areas page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers from licensed Ottawa technicians. Still have a question? Call us any time.
Is Oria Heating and Cooling a family-owned company?
Yes. Oria Heating and Cooling is family-owned and operated and has served Ottawa homeowners since 2014. We are based at 925 Longfields Drive in Nepean, near Barrhaven, and work across Ottawa and Gatineau. As a family business, the team that quotes your job is the same team accountable for the work.
Is Oria TSSA and HRAI approved?
Yes. Oria is TSSA and HRAI approved, and every technician holds both a gas licence and an air conditioning (refrigeration) licence. TSSA, the Technical Standards and Safety Authority, regulates fuel-burning appliances and gas work in Ontario. HRAI is the national association for heating, refrigeration and air conditioning contractors in Canada.
Does Oria only install Lennox equipment?
No. Oria is a Lennox authorized dealer, but we also install Goodman and other major brands, and we repair all makes and models. We recommend equipment based on your home’s size, ductwork, fuel and budget, and explain the trade-offs between efficiency ratings and price before you choose.
Who will come to my home?
A licensed Oria technician who holds both gas and refrigeration licences. Many of our Google reviews mention Mansoor, who leads our installs and service calls. Whoever arrives will explain the problem, give you the price before starting, and leave the work area clean when the job is done.
Does Oria work in Gatineau?
Yes. Oria holds the licences required to work in Gatineau, Quebec, including the Aylmer and Hull sectors. Many Gatineau homes heat with electric baseboards because Hydro-Québec rates are low, so ductless mini-splits and heat pumps are common projects there. We also install and repair furnaces and water heaters for Énergir gas customers.
